Lean In, Wait for Harvest.

These times, people are seeking answers and clarity for life with an unusual desire to get results in the shortest possible time. While God can show up for us on time according to the time of life, his protocol of revealing mysteries and answers is for believers to lean into Him — abiding in Him.

To lean in is to incline or press into something. It is an active process of totally trusting in the personality of the person you are depending on to come through and provide what you need because he can.

As we gradually come into the second half of the year, we tend to take account of the year to evaluate the fulfilment of God’s Word in our life and how much we have — especially for those whom He expressly gave a word to at the beginning of the year.

Psalms 37:3, 5 TPT reads;
Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly!

A farmer sows a seed in the field fully aware of the lifecycle, conditioned by the cultivation requirements of the crop while he tends the field, and he puts in the work with full assurance and anticipation of his harvest.

Likewise, the word of God had conditions to activate its fulfilment; the fulfilment of God requires focus, steadfastness, and a posture of absolute submission to his ways. Waiting actively like a farmer awaits harvest — involves leaning into God daily to draw strength, fuel your assurance and ignite your joy for the fulfilment of his word over your life.
Evaluations are great in themselves but do in context — a coconut farmer knows that his waiting period is longer than that of a maize farmer because of the lifecycle of his crops. So also, don’t get carried away with the accolades of others(harvest), stay focused on your cycle time, rejoicing about yours in anticipation.

Without an iota of doubt, God is committed to the performance of His word. Remain steadfast — Fix your heart on the promises of God, waiting actively, rejoicing about the word, and leaning in on the one who started the work in you to complete it.

Today, be encouraged! The word of God concerning you will not fail. I pray for the grace to actively wait for the fulfilment of His promises concerning you. Do not be weary in doing what is right in his eyes.

Stay Blessed!
