Resilience Above Resistance: Advancing to Occupy Against All Odds

In physics, resistance is simply the opposition a material gives to the flow of electric current. In very simple terms, this means that the less a material resists electricity, the better of a conductor it becomes and the more it resists the flow of electric current, the better of an insulator it is. This idea is beautifully captured in Ohm’s Law, which tells us in everyday terms that the stronger the push of electricity, the more current flows. However, the more opposition there is in the wire, the less current will flow, as long as everything else stays the same

Now pause and imagine for a moment that this is not just about electricity, circuits, wires or physics laboratories but about life, faith, destiny and the prophetic word God has spoken over us as a people. Imagine electricity as the divine word Advance to Occupy, flowing toward you and through you. Imagine current as the full manifestation of that prophetic word across your life, your career, your ministry, your family and every sphere of influence you have been called to shape. Then imagine the wire as the journey of life itself with its twists, seasons, transitions and realities. Finally, see resistance as the challenges, oppositions, limitations, fears, delays, systems of darkness and the unpredictable complexities that try to stand in the way of what God has declared.

In physics, when resistance increases, technicians do not panic, complain, resign or give up hope; they simply increase the voltage. Voltage represents pressure, drive, intensity and the power difference between what is desired and what stands in its way… And when voltage rises, resistance eventually bows. Sometimes it weakens, sometimes it melts, sometimes it completely gives way. This is exactly why insulators burn when subjected to intense electrical pressure. It is because resistance always has a threshold, and once that threshold is exceeded, what once stood boldly in opposition suddenly becomes incapable of stopping the flow.

This is exactly how life in the Spirit works. We do not cower at resistance, we do not surrender under pressure, and we do not accept defeat when life presses us. Instead, we increase the voltage. We heighten our spiritual intensity, deepen our conviction, strengthen our inner life and respond with an even greater force. You can actually increase the voltage of the prophetic word over your life, because prophecy is not passive and spiritual destiny is not automatic- it responds to men and women who stretch themselves in the place of prayer, who consistently speak faith-filled prophetic words, who commit to diligence in every space God has planted them and who refuse to bow mentally, spiritually, emotionally or physically to whatever resistance life presents.

When a believer lives like this, resistance begins to lose its confidence and its grip; circumstances that once threatened to overwhelm begin to weaken, darkness retreats, limitations crumble, progress accelerates and life becomes a continuous movement of advancing until occupying becomes reality. We do not simply survive; we dominate. We do not merely endure; we take territories. We do not just hope; we enforce divine intention.

So as we go forward daily, let us keep increasing the voltage through intentional prayer that births possibilities, through prophetic declarations that shape realities, through diligence that honors God, through spiritual consistency that keeps our fire alive and through a strong commitment to Kingdom relationships that strengthen our journey.

Resistance will always rise, but resilience anchored in revelation will always be greater. As long as we keep applying the right pressure, one reality will remain undeniable: resistance must bow, and occupation is inevitable.
