For Nigerians, I believe that when they hear the word “honourableeee,” the picture/image that comes to mind is white-starched-agbada and fula-cap-wearing individuals, shouting and screaming at one another, in the House of Assembly.
Well, those are not the people this write-up is about.
I am yet to recover from the blessing of the FRAMING 2026 service where Pastor Dami had introduced us to 5 elements (and you know five means grace in the spirit) which will help us ADVANCE TO OCCUPY in 2026. One of the elements is HONOUR.
Honour is a value system in God. With the reality of this age being that a lot of people live dishonourable lives (Christians inclusive), it remains important to reiterate God’s truth on honour.
In Revelation 5 v12;
In a loud voice, they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise!”
In the Kingdom of God, honour is a core value.
One of the blessings that Jesus received for us is honour.
God’s gifts are graces. They are not achievements, nor are they skills. They are God’s offer to whosoever is willing to receive them.
So, you may ask, “PH, what must I do to inherit the blessing that honour brings?”
Simply put: To be honoured, you must be honourable.

God’s principles cannot be altered by any situation or circumstance of life. God is a covenant-keeping God and a God of order (Psalm 89:34; 1 Corinthians 14:40)
For the HONOURABLE, the following are non-negotiable channels of honour from a Biblical perspective. These are rooted in the principle of seedtime and harvest (Genesis 8:20–22).
1. Honour God and His Word (1 Samuel 2:30) – Prioritize and obey God’s Word. When you wake up each morning, before the business of the day begins, spend time with Jesus through Bible study and prayer. As Colossians 4:2 says, “Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.” Do not pray mindlessly! Do not straddle 7 other things along with prayer. Let your mind be alert and your heart thankful.
2. Honour God’s house (Psalm 132:13–15) – Always come before God with a fresh desire. In this age of technology and convenience, many people attend services online but are often distracted. If we are honest, the average person spends more time on social media each week than at church gatherings. Often, the issue is not a lack of time, but a lack of honour and priority for the things of God.
3. Honour God with your giving (Malachi 1:6) – God is the first giver, so He has asked you to give out of the benevolence that He has shown you. Those who cannot give to God only demonstrate one thing: They love the gift (blessings) more than the Giver. As such, they are not lovers but users.
4. Honour God’s Servant (Matthew 10:41; Hosea 12:13) – God in Jeremiah 3 vs 15 tells us that He will give us pastors after His own heart (not our own heart oo, His own. E get why); pastors who will guide us with knowledge and understanding. One sure way to enjoy this promise is to honour the men/women God has sent our way.
5. Honour your parents (Ephesians 6:2–3)– Since becoming a parent myself, I have reflected more deeply on the sacrifices my parents made for my siblings and me. Parenting is often a thankless job. I remain grateful for them and honouring them is non-negotiable. Even when there are disagreements, we must seek God’s wisdom to resolve issues without dishonouring our parents.
6. Give honour to whom honour is due (Romans 13:7) – The Bible also calls us to honour leaders, bosses and government authorities. Sadly, many people, including Christians, speak disrespectfully about leaders on social media. Honour is not selective. Even when we disagree, there is always a respectful and Christ-like way to express our concerns.
7. Honour your spouse (1 Peter 3:7)– Activate SAS in your marriages as Pastor Dami taught us. SAS–Sacrifice, Attraction, and Security. Loving and protecting one another intentionally.
8. Honour God through Kingdom service (John 12:26)– Be part of what God is doing in your local church. Join and serve in causes that may never pay you back financially but advance the Kingdom of God.
These eight channels are recognised in Scripture as ways to activate the blessing of honour.
It is one thing to know these principles; it is another thing to practice them… And it is not enough to practice them occasionally; we must engage them as acts of service unto God.
What are the benefits for THE HONOURABLE?
- Longevity– A good and fulfilled old age.
- Duplication of grace– What rests on those you honour begins to manifest in your life.
- Health and vitality.
- Financial prosperity.
- Peace and tranquillity.
- Unstoppable progress in business and career.
- Exemption from evil in times of trouble.
- Divine protection.
- Fulfilment of destiny by living according to purpose.
- Legacy of honour — You never lack what you consistently give.
This is how THE HONOURABLE ADVANCE TO OCCUPY in 2026.
Keep with the vision,
