Building on from where he left things off last week, Pastor Dami Oguntunde began with the targetedness of the varying gifts God gives to men in their generations and added that whilst we receive gifts by faith, for efficiency the posture for receiving these gifts is thanksgiving. He added that men are endowed with gifts as a crucial part of their make up and so there’s nothing in a believer’s calling that is not already loaded in his seed, and whether a person is born again or not those gifts will find expression – the gifts are ‘follow-come’.
Pastor Dami added that the reward for effective use of a gift is not acceptance from men or earthly riches rather the reward is God’s ‘well done’, that one applied a gift for the purpose for which God gave it and so this is why it is important that despite the fact that we don’t contribute anything to receive our gifts, upon receiving them, we must commit to doing all that he has empowered to be done in love, meekness and humility.
