Christ The Healer

In the world today, disease and sickness are claiming a terrible toll on human lives. In spite of the fact that medical science is demonstrating its most remarkable achievements, the disease still persists to ravage human lives all over the world.

…I WILL TAKE sickness away from you…The number of your days I will fulfill Exodus 23:25–26

I AM The Lord who Heals you. Exodus 15:26

God announced himself to be the healer of His people. He spoke the words captured above to about Three Million people, every one of them believed these words, the result; every one of them who needed healing was made perfectly whole. We read in Psalms 105:37 “He (God) brought them forth and there was not one feeble person among their Tribe”. Christ! Can you imagine three million people all well and strong? Not one feeble, not one weak, and not one sick?

If that was true in Israel, under the law, it is much more true for you, who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus and living under grace, mercy and truth. Let this become a settled truth that you know, as well as you know your name: Healing is for you. The gospel is the power of God to everyone that believes. When believed and acted upon, any promise of God is converted to the power of God. Every promise of God contains the power of God necessary to produce what it promises when it is believed and acted upon. Dear believer, God’s promises are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.

I will hasten my word to perform it (Jeremiah1:12) That Word hastens means “to watch over” “to look after” “to protect” or to “stand behind”. In all its unlimited power, God is standing behind his word to accomplish it in your life and in your body. Believe that.

Some folks say things like God is teaching a believer patience and humility through sickness, they may be sincere, but that’s a sincere lie, God doesn’t try to draw you closer to him through sickness. Never accept that lie. God’s Word contains His Last Will and Testament in which he bequeaths to us all of the blessings of redemption, since it is his last will and testament, anything later is a forgery. The Bible reveals the will of God in regard to Healing. God need not give any special revelation of His Will when He has plainly given his revealed Will in His Word. Let’s check out some of the content of His Will.

Matt.8.17 — …”He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”

1Pet.2.24 — who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness — by whose stripes you were healed.

3John.1.2 — Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

His Will is Healing, If He wills to heal one, he wills to heal all. Jesus came to save you both from sin and sickness, don’t accept one and doubt the other, He is the Saviour of the body. If Christ has become saviour of the body and the body is for the Lord, then we need not tolerate sickness and disease in it.

We need not have sickness in the body any more than sin the spirit. Sickness is sin to the body, Sin is sickness to the spirit.

The Faith that appropriates God’s promise rests on the knowledge of His will. His known will is the basis for faith. We could not take healing by faith believing we had received it if there was any question as to whether or not it was for us.

When Jesus says, whatever you ask the Father in my name, He is giving us a signed cheque on the resources of heaven and asking us to fill it in. What a privilege.

I was teaching along these lines years ago, Cooperative Hall, University of Ibadan, I said “God’s Word contains surgical genes if its not curable, it is repairable, if its not repairable, it is replaceable”

A young lady heard that Word, she was billed for a particular surgery, she rejoiced at the word spoken, believed, and appropriated it. She didn’t need the surgery after that. Healed by the power of God.

To a reader of this devotional, as you read this, faith is being stirred in your heart, act on it. The name of Jesus is a resource, use it Phil 2:9–10, The laying on of Hands is a resource, use it, The Communion is a powerful resource, appropriate it.

1John.5.14 — Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

1John.5.15 — And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Now begin to declare the expulsion of sickness and disease out of your body or that of a person you know, lay your hands on that part of your body and authorize The Will of God. I join my faith with yours as I stand in the Office of My Call, in the name of Jesus I pronounce healing into your body, your health is restored, your life refreshed to the glory of God.

Now watch what you say, stop saying “this my headache” “this my backpain” “this my malaria has come again” etc those are faith destroying declarations. “To have” means to lay claim of possession, once you say “I have…” whatever follows “I have” starts looking for you, the forces of creation will stand at alert to deliver what you say you have. Instead start saying “I have my healing”, “Christ is my healer”. Maintain a word based confession no matter how you feel. Your feeling will ultimately line up to your most consistent confession.

Christ has healed you now, Oh Yes, Glory to God.

Do have a wholesome week.
