As Christians we have been called to a life of influence. Influence is not a choice but a command. It is our responsibility to sanitize our environments of corruption with righteousness. This was what Lot failed to do as he disregarded Abraham and the spirit Abraham carried for things he easily coveted. Lot lavished in wealth without honour and failed to positively influence his environment. There’s no neutral on the earth; it’s either you are a positive or a negative on the earth. Lot was a negative as he was of no use and influence. Honour preserves wealth and preserves legacy.
