In the 15th installment of the Becoming An Example series, Pastor Dami Awosanmi draws from 1Timothy 4:12 (MSG) to teach that believers must be examples in conduct and demeanor — how we behave toward others.
A key focus is fear. Pastor Dami emphasized that believers must be completely free of fear, as the emergence of the church, the spread of the gospel, and godly influence depend on bold men. God finds it easier to use a bold unbeliever than a fearful believer. Scripture reveals that fear cuts off God’s flow in a life, robs a person of purpose, and is an abomination for the anointed (Revelation 21:6-8).
Using Gideon’s army, he outlines three lessons: First: God removed the fearful men, He simply cannot work with fear. Second: He retained the bold yet weak (poor in spirit), ensuring His glory wouldn’t be stolen. Third: He gave Gideon heaven’s perspective on the enemy, what looked like locusts was merely A TENT in God’s eyes.
Finally, a man who is yielded, bold, and filled with God’s strength becomes like bread tumbling into the enemy’s camp, carried entirely by God.
Banish fear, and you are already set up on high.
