In today’s message, Pastor Dami Oguntunde taught on light. From the teaching we understand that a key reason why Christians stumble is owing to the lack of light on their inside (John 11:9-11). This light is also known as revelation. As believers, the way to live is to see the unseen. This is how to live in this world. We are not to judge based on what we see or hear (Isaiah 11: 1-3). We also saw how that the journey of a believer is that of enlightenment after salvation. More reason we have to keep praying the Pauline prayers ( Ephesians 1:16-19, Colossians 1: 9-14).
So beyond redemption by which we were translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear son (Colossians 1:13) we must endeavor that the light dwells in us (John 15:4). Christ redeeming us means our spirit is now alive to God. Our spirit have been lit (Colossians 1:12). Therefore we are not to hide our light, rather we are expected to shine (Matt 5:16).
Put Jesus before all things ( Colossians 1:17). Continue to abide in Him through working in love, praying, studying and mediating on God’s word till you get revelation (2 Pet 1:19). Only then will you be truly be able to arise and shine (Isaiah 60:1)
