Today we had another explosive dose from the Jonah’s Series delivered by Pastor Dami Oguntunde. Today’s session, amongst a couple more highlights, featured truths that can be summarized thus; when we depart from the will of God he rebukes us out of love, this may manifest in forms of storms, difficulty, hardship, discomfort; all these are signs that you need to repent (Jonah 1:1-17).
The extensive implication of a believer’s disobedience is that since we are children of grace and we carry the keys to unlock possibilities and opportunities to the lives of many others, our disobedience also negatively influence these scenarios. At this point this is not the measure of long suffering or the suffering of Christ, it’s just “SUFFERHEAD”
There is no compensation for disobedience because obedience is better than sacrifice ( I Samuel 15:22). The cost of obedience is not just what you have lost, but what you could have gained.
